Dr. Lee Sheinkopf was born in New York City and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduated Cum Laude and received her B.A. degree in 1999. She attended medical school at Drexel University School of Medicine (formerly known as Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University School of Medicine) and received her M.D. degree in 2003. She then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the UCLA/VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in 2006. Following her residency, Dr. Sheinkopf completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the UCLA/VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in 2008. During her fellowship, she obtained additional Pediatric Allergy and Immunology training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She is currently board certified in Internal Medicine (since 2006) and Allergy and Immunology (since 2008).
Dr. Sheinkopf specializes in the treatment of asthma, allergies, and immune disorders for both adults and children. She has presented and published research at national allergy meetings and has authored papers on a novel treatment for atopic dermatitis and food allergy. She is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology. She has been elected by peers as one of Southern California's "Super Doctors."
Dr. Sheinkopf lives with her husband and three children in Los Angeles.
